May Favourites
Hi you,
I feel like it’s been a minute since we’ve chatted about our new faves — life has been moving so fast lately (you know how it is). I’ve been meaning to sit down, make a little cup of tea, and just chat — tell you about the things I’ve been loving, the little discoveries that have been making me feel good this month.
So think of this as a letter from me to you — if we were sitting across from each other, bare-faced or in our favourite lip, sharing product recs and life updates. You know I’m always trying new things (sometimes too many things haha), but these are the ones that really stood out. The ones I kept reaching for, raving about, or sneakily buying backups of.
Here are my Top 10 for this month — I hope you discover something new to love too.
1. Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Dark Spot Serum
We celebrated the 20th anniversary of this product with Coote Agency a few weeks ago — and honestly, that speaks for itself. This is one of the few products that I truly run out of (and repurchase!) because it works. It keeps my skin looking so glowy, clean, and even. I first found it through Glamzilla and I’ve never looked back. It’s powered by patented Viniferine — 62 times more effective than Vitamin C — and helps fade dark spots while brightening the complexion. An absolute staple.
2. Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Contour
I’M DYING at how blendable this is. I swear I didn’t really understand what contour was supposed to do until I tried this. It’s super weightless and melts into the skin for such a natural, lifted effect. The doe-foot applicator makes it easy to control, and the shades are so flattering — not too orange or muddy. I literally reach for it every single time I do my makeup now.
3. Jaune Pearls Woven Leather Cuff in Silver
Technically I’m not supposed to share this yet (oops) but here we are — giving away trade secrets haha. Our new Forge Collection for Jaune Pearls launches tomorrow, and this piece is my personal favourite. The collection channels romantic brutalism — soft, organic pearls contrasted with sculptural, bold forms. This cuff features 7 multicolour 12–13mm button-shaped Tahitian pearls and 10 Keshi pearls, all graded AAA–AA, woven into natural silver-toned leather sustainably crafted in Italy. I can’t wait for you to see the full collection. Visit the website here: https://jaunepearls.com.au
4. Hourglass Unreal Liquid Blush
Totally forgot I had this… also forgot how GOOD it is. It’s hydrating, blends like a dream, and gives that natural flush I love. I’ve been gravitating towards warmer, orangey blush tones and this one pairs beautifully with everything. Definitely back in my regular rotation.
5. MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist To Go Mini Eyeshadow Palette
I’ve been on the hunt for my go-to everyday palette for years — and here it is. Most palettes I owned were too big for travel or too glam for day-to-day. This is compact, practical, and has the perfect neutral shades for daily looks. When I first got it, I did not have high expectations based on experiences with other eyeshadow palettes… but it completely surprised me. I’m obsessed and will use it everday!!!!
6. Beauty of Joseon Red Bean Refreshing Pore Mask
I honestly don’t know what magic is in this mask — every time I use it, my skin looks glowy, hydrated, and brand new. It’s formulated with red bean extract to deeply cleanse and refine pores. I keep mine in the fridge so it’s extra cooling and soothing when I apply it. One of my all-time favourite masks — I use it weekly for a skin refresh.
7. Kylie Cosmetics Skin Tint Blurring Elixir
Not gonna lie, this is my first Kylie Cosmetics product — and wow, I’m impressed. It’s lightweight and buildable, gives a blurred, skin-like finish that’s matte but not too matte. Basically: my skin, but better. I’ve been wearing this on casual days when I want to look polished but effortless. Thanks King Kylie!
8. Poems of Paris
Every time I open this, I’m transported back to Paris. It’s beautiful, romantic, and enchanting — the perfect little escape. I keep this on my bedside table and reach for it whenever I’m craving a little inspiration.
9. Merit The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick
My absolute go-to when I need to get ready in 10 minutes. It functions as both a foundation and concealer — super easy to swipe on, blend out, and go. I love how natural it looks and feels. The formula is creamy, non-cakey, and wears beautifully throughout the day. Effortless beauty at its best.
10. Jonak Black Leather Boots
I picked these up in Hong Kong knowing Australia’s winter was around the corner. They’re such a timeless design — not trendy, just a staple I know I’ll wear for years. The patent finish elevates any look, and despite the height, they’re incredibly comfortable to walk in. Worth every penny.
And that’s everything for this month! I hope you enjoyed this little favourites catch-up — let me know if you end up trying any of these. You know I’ll be back here soon with more things to rave about.
Until next time — talk soon bestie. xx
Love,
Your Melly <3
